Namibia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is a uniquely, fascinating person. She was born in the village of Onamutai in the Oshana Region, northern Namibia, on the 29th of October 1952, under the constellation of Scorpio.
Netumbo Nandi joined Swapo (South West African Peoples Organisation) in 1966, while a student at the Odibo Mission School and from 1969 to 1974 she was the Chairperson of the Swapo Youth League (SPYL) in northern Namibia. Amid growing persecution of the SPYL leadership by the Apartheid regime, she left Namibia in 1974, to join Swapo in exile. She went on to represent the movement in central and eastern Africa and undertook studies in the United Kingdom (Diplomacy & International Relations) before returning to Namibia in 1989. In 2002 she guided the Combating of Domestic Violence Act through the National Assembly (NA), amid much criticism and joking from some of her male colleagues. At one point she even warned her fellow Swapo MPs that chauvinism was against the party’s constitution.
She consistently scores high in the Cabinet Scorecard published annually by local economics publication, Insight Namibia Magazine, and seems incapable of putting a foot wrong. Her impact on the tourism sector has seen Namibia ascribed the title of a premier destination in Africa, and it appears the same recipe for success will be implemented at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

STAR ANALYSIS:
Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah (29/10/1952)
She is 'lucky' (money, career, romance, life) which makes her a poor gambler. Optimistic. Courageous. Broad-minded with an excellent sense of humour. Believes in the basic goodness of people and has a healthy love for life (happy to be alive, fortunate). She is tolerant. Her intuition is highly developed (sensitive). Frank, sincere and honest, without compromising herself. She is a hard worker, sometimes too critical of herself and her own contributions; her efforts are appreciated. Piercingly intelligent, she studies human behaviour, motivation and has a taste for the original.
She is a lover of the written word, particularly the medium of literature. She is attracted to the darker side of human spirituality, a fascination with the unknown (taboo), bothered by unanswered questions (secrets). She intensely dislikes 'I don't know' and will actively seek until she finds what she is looking for. She is restless (in love) and may not be eager to commit to a long-term relationship. She secretly fears chaos and disorderliness. Reliable, responsible, she knows herself very well as focused on realistic and tangible (financial and material) results. She is a good cook, a good protector and likes her comforts.
A good organiser, very methodical, she intensely dislikes haphazard, uncoordinated actions. She does not like routine at work or in her emotional life and will fight to keep her independence, her freedom of action. She is sometimes nervous (her environment) and has a strong need for self-expression (creative). Passionate, her emotions run deep and remain vivid for a long time. She is attracted to new ideas, new things and originality.
Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, I repeat, is a fascinating person. As we progress into Scorpio, I wish for her a glorious, magnificent 61st birthday and a beautiful year ahead. We are indeed fortunate to have her in charge of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and wish her many more years, happiness and some more fortune.
